Spotlight on Sacramento: Sactown to Steal San Francisco Mag Title?

Even in its infancy, one year old Sactown Magazine received some big time recognition – FIVE “Maggie” nominations.  The Western Publications Association “Maggie” Awards are given to the cream of the crop of publications west of the Mississippi.

With two nominations for Best Single Editorial Photograph and single nominations in the Best Editorial Photograph Series and Best Design categories, I’m especially excited at the prospect of Sactown stealing San Francisco Magazine’s two year hold on the Best City & Metropolitan Magazine title.

We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed until May 2, when we hear shouts of joy coming from the Elks Tower ;-)

That is great and exiting news! As a Sacramento resident it is nice to see a local mag getting some positive recognition with these awards. It’s even better that it is putting up the fight with the SF magazine’s two year title.
