Why Lie? I Need a Drink

A controversial independent film is making its world debut at the Crest Theater this Friday, March 7.  Sacramento comedian Keith Lowell Jensen examines the life of freeway exit sign holders and sets out to answer questions like: How much do panhandlers really make? And does every sign have to say “God bless?”  From dressing up as a banana to a mummy, Jensen even makes his own attempt at making money on the corners of Sacramento, Spokane, and Toronto.

Even though this film has been scrutinized for making light of a serious subject, on his Web site Jensen says his “point in making the film was to make a mocker of something that needs serious insight.”

I wonder if our iconic Downtown James Brown will make a cameo?  :-)

Buy advance tickets for $10 at Tickets.com or buy advance from The crest and pay no service fee. Call 44-CREST.  Tickets are $2 more if purchased day of.
