Sacramento Second Saturday Art Walk
Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 10:02AM
This Saturday, March 8 is the 2nd Saturday Art Walk and there are a few “must see’s” on my list. But before I go on. I have to mention that this Saturday is also International Women’s Day, which is why I am so happy to be making the gallery rounds with my fabulous female friends Stefanie and Sheila. Both are incredibly strong AND beautiful women and are two people I ALWAYS have a great time with.
After a couple glasses of vino at my place, we’ll probably start at CoolCat Gallery, after all I live literally only a few steps from their doorway and they always have a fun and eclectic mix of art. They also just received some well-deserved recognition in the Sacramento Bee. This month they’re showing is called "Beatles vs. Elvis"

Elvis & The Bomb
by Michael Ramey.

I'm Still the King, Yellow Submarine
by Diego Rios.
And as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, Stef and I ALWAYS be sure to stop by the Solomon Dubnick Gallery in the MARRS building. This month, they’re showing paintings by Laurie Winthers and Wayne Jiang . I’m especially excited to see Laurie’s beautiful, vibrant-colored California landscapes. See a couple of my favorites below:

We’re also going to try and stop by Raphael Delgado’s studio on 1018 22nd St. Raphael is a local, young and amazingly talented artist who I’ve had the pleasure of working with when coordinating an art showing at Java City’s 18th & Capitol café.
