If you rebuild it, they will come

Fremont Park Public Meeting

Having lived in the downtown/midtown area for almost two years now, Joe and I have taken advantage of the ability to walk to a plethora of fabulous food and entertainment venues that make our neighborhood so enjoyable.   However, after reading a recent post on one of my favorite blogs, LivingInUrbanSac, I realized that there is still a huge opportunity to enhance the midtown and downtown lifestyle by revamping our parks.

Joe and I have a small patch of grass in our front yard, just large enough to let Matti do her business, but if we want to enjoy a barbecue or leisure nap in the sun, we rely on our local parks.  So I wanted to call your attention to a very important meeting being held Wednesday, June 11 at  6:00 p.m. at William Land Elementary School.   Local residents and business owners are encouraged to bring their thoughts and ideas to a meeting with Councilman Robert Fong and representatives from CADA and the City of Sacramento to discuss ways to reconnect the surrounding communities of Fremont Park (On 16th Street between P and Q).
